Emma Carew Grovum is the homepage and social media editor at Foreign Policy magazine. She creates and implements digital strategy for newsroom and magazine content on foreignpolicy.com and manages FP's social media assets.
She previously worked as a data journalist for The Chronicle of Philanthropy, digital editor for The Cooking Club magazine, and web producer and local reporter for The Star Tribune. Emma also occasionally works as a trainer and consultant for Webbmedia Group.
Emma is in her second year as convention programming co-chair for the Asian American Journalists Association. She contributes recipe development to BeingGeekChic.com and occasionally volunteers with ThreeSixty Journalism.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Emma grew up outside of Minneapolis, MN and an affinity for hockey and cheese curds. She lives in Washignton, D.C. with her husband, also a journalist.
